Sometimes, no matter how hard your team works, waiting lists can just keep on growing, leaving you left wondering how you will achieve your waiting time targets. This is where Medinet can help, by reducing your hospital waiting lists.
Medinet currently works across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland helping trusts and boards to achieve their waiting time targets.
We do this by creating additional capacity to see outpatients, provide diagnostic services and treat day cases and inpatients requiring surgery. We specialise in providing consultants who hold substantive positions in medical, surgical and dental specialties. To complement their skills, we can also provide nursing staff, support technicians and surgical teams that may be required. We bring these specialists into your hospital, usually at weekends (weekdays if available) when there is spare capacity to see outpatients, perform day surgery and conduct investigations.
Our consultants will see new patients and provide continuity of care until the patient has been discharged.
Using Medinet to conduct your outpatient clinics can significantly reduce your waiting times. Our consultants will see patients at local outpatient clinics usually at weekends (weekdays if available) when there is spare capacity to do so. Our consultants will assess each patient and recommend any investigations required. We then collate the results and the consultant will return to discuss findings with the patient at a follow up clinic. At the initial consultation, a significant number of patients are either discharged, or discharged back to the GP with appropriate advice.
Medinet is able to provide a wide range of diagnostic services including MRI, Neurophysiology, Audiology, Endoscopy and Colonoscopy. We can provide these as a stand-alone service to relieve diagnostic waiting time pressures. We can also provide them following our outpatient clinics to avoid having any impact on local diagnostic services.
Medinet can also provide surgeons, anaesthetists and surgical teams to carry out day case and inpatient procedures within your trust. As with all of Medinet’s services, the surgery is carried out at weekends (weekdays if available) when there is spare capacity to see patients. Our consultants will provide an initial consultation with the patient and then return at an agreed date to carry out any surgical procedures.
If no theatre capacity is available within the local trust hospital, we have arrangements with a large number of private hospitals around the country in which we can treat your patients. This means that the patients will not need to travel a great distance to receive their treatment. We can also arrange all their transport requirements.
As well as being able to provide your trust with outpatient clinics, diagnostics and inpatient surgery, Medinet is able to offer a full administrative service should you require it. We work to the partial booking policy and can offer you a total solution including validation, all patient contact including booking of appointments, liaising with GP’s, arranging investigations and dealing with patient queries right through until their discharge. We offer patients and your healthcare professionals one point of contact via our freephone telephone number, with all enquiries being dealt with by one of our dedicated clinic coordinators.
Our success rate and reputation speaks for itself and we’re sure you will be impressed by our services. However, if you still require reassurance about how successful we are then we are able to provide references from many of the trusts we work with, upon request.
Medinet recognises that the consultants we use to help achieve your waiting time targets should provide an equally high standard of care as your own consultants do. This is why we only provide substantive NHS consultants, we do not use locums.
