Kind hearted office staff at Medinet cooked up a storm yesterday when they baked cakes for a cake sale in aid of charity.

The team of 9 sold the cakes to other office staff based in Arthur House, Mere Green, in order to raise money for the Stroke Unit at Good Hope Hospital.

Medinet have previously donated a flat screen television to the hospital and wanted to raise money to buy even more equipment for the unit’s Nintendo Wii console. Stroke sufferers at the hospital use the Wii to aid their rehabilitation and Medinet staff now hope to buy them additional controllers and games.

The cake sale raised over £125.00, which was generously matched by Medinet’s Managing Director Peter Jeffreys, who was so impressed with his staff’s efforts. This will enable the staff to purchase all the equipment they need for the stroke unit.
