Substantive consultants, substantial rewards

If you are already a dedicated NHS hospital consultant and are looking for recruitment to broaden your employment experiences, then working for Medinet may be something to consider. Medinet works with NHS trusts and boards across the UK providing additional services in all specialties, to ensure trusts and boards meet their waiting time targets. We provide the trust or board with a consultant, usually at weekends (weekdays if available) when there is spare capacity to see outpatients, perform day surgery and conduct investigations. Our consultants will see new patients and also provide continuity of care by returning to see follow ups and reviews.

What are the benefits of working with Medinet?

As well as meeting lots of new patients, hospital teams and working inside different hospitals, you will receive a favourable remuneration package including travel and subsistence costs.  The package you receive will depend on your specialty and may be on a case by case basis or on a sessional fee structure.  Details of the remuneration package you can expect to receive will be given to you when you register your interest.

What do we look for in a Medinet Consultant?

All of the consultants who work with us hold current, substantive posts within the NHS.  Please be aware that we do not use locums and you will be asked to disclose your full employment history to us.
