As well as providing an excellent service to NHS trusts and patients, and employing many consultants, Medinet is proud to support the local communities in both Newport in South Wales and Sutton Coldfield in the West Midlands.
Medinet is passionate about helping others which is why we are pleased to support two local charities; St David’s Foundation in South Wales, and the Stroke Unit at Good Hope Hospital (Heart of England NHS trust) in Sutton Coldfield.
St David’s Foundation is based in Newport and provides hospice care for over 2000 people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. St David’s Foundation Hospice Care is committed to providing bespoke, individual care for all patients and their families. St David’s work hard to ensure patients have a choice about the care they receive and that dignity is maintained throughout their journey. Medinet are proud that they were the first Gold sponsor of the charity, in 2010. Please click here for further details of St David's Foundation.

The sponsorship Medinet provides makes a real difference to the patients of St David's Foundation, by providing financial support in the form of 50 nights of Hospice at Home care. This care, which St David's provides to patients at no cost, will allow patients to receive their end of life care at home with their loved ones.
The Stroke Unit at Good Hope Hospital treats stroke sufferers from across the north Birmingham area. The unit provides valuable care and rehabilitation for patients and vital support for their families. Medinet donated a flat screen television and lots of Nintendo Wii equipment to help local stroke sufferers with their rehabilitation.
As well as our own charities, Medinet also supports the charitable work of some of our local suppliers:
Medinet was pleased to support a team from Geek Guru IT solutions who took part in the Mount Trial Challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Medinet matched the monies that were raised by Geek Guru for this very worthwhile cause. Please click here for details.
One of the Geek Guru team also had a hair raising time for Children in Need 2011, when he volunteered to have all of his hair shaved off. Medinet were very proud to support this and congratulated Ant by making a donation to the Children in Need charity.
